We are humbled and incredibly grateful that our favorite people are making the trek to celebrate our love and have chosen to take care of your accommodations during the wedding celebrations. The evenings of Tuesday 6/24/25, Wednesday 6/25/25, and Thursday 6/26/25 have all been secured and paid for. Our first scheduled event will be a Welcome Dinner on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. We encourage you to arrive a day or more ahead of the festivities to acclimate to la dolce vita. Relax, recharge and explore Puglia’s lovely coastline, hilltop towns, and olive groves. We will be in the area early as well and would love to spend time with you.
There are many routes to take to get to our special day. Here are some that we suggest:
Puglia has two international airports: Bari (BRI) and Brindisi (BDS).
Bari Airport is larger and has the most international flight options. It is a 70 minute drive to Santo Scalone.
Brindisi Airport has fewer international flights and many are on low-cost carriers. It is a 35 minute drive to Santo Scalone.
Tips: If you are traveling directly from the US to Puglia, the most direct routings will usually leave the US on an overnight flight, connect in a major European gateway, and land in Puglia in the mid afternoon to evening of the next day. Google Flights is a useful and easy tool to research international flight options and prices.
If you travel to Rome on a different airline, there are multiple daily nonstop flights on ITA Airways to Bari and Brindisi that take 1 hour and currently cost about $100. There are also high speed trains to Bari which take 4 hours.
Rental Cars and Drivers
Both Bari and Brindisi airports have rental car companies as well as local transportation hire options to arrange rides with a driver.
Driving in Puglia is easy if you want to rent a car. Driving is on the right. The local highways and main roads are in good condition. Some of the smaller country roads can be narrow but also come with beautiful scenery. An International Driving Permit is legally required for drivers from abroad in Italy. You can get a permit from AAA for $20 and two passport photos.
